The First Lady
The exhibit covers Mrs. Kennedy’s childhood, support of the arts, leadership in historic preservation and role as an effective cultural ambassador. The display includes photographs, video footage of her televised tour of the White House and international travels, her artwork and clothing. Pictured in this photoset are Jackie’s wardrobe, First Holy Communion Book, her painting of the White House of yore and, my favourite of all, an intimate sketch of JFK during the 1956 campaign.
The Oval Office
On display is a selection of personal items which President Kennedy displayed in the White House Oval Office, including his coffee mug, little carved animals from his BFF Lem Billings and exclusive pictures of him & Caroline, as well as a replica of President Kennedy’s HMS Resolute desk.

With my ticket, sticker, map and bracelet (thank you to the incredibly talented krischintan x) in tow, I make my way to the opening exhibit and movie.
